Rusnak Bentley Pasadena, CA |
The Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Porsche, and Bentley dealership shown above are part of Pasadena's still-thriving Auto Row on West Colorado Blvd.
This Rolls-Royce dealership sold a variety of brands over the years. In the late 1920s, Pierce-Arrows were sold here. A later dealership sold Willys Jeeps. In the 1950s-1970s, the makes included Jaguars, Alfa-Romeos, and Fiats. [map] This Jaguar dealership was occupied in 1934 by the Earl Lindley Motor Co. which sold Nash automobiles. Different dealerships sold Chrysler-Plymouth cars here from 1934-1970. In 1971, Rusnak took over the building and has sold a variety of foreign car makes including Porsche, Audi, and Nissan. At some point, there was a false front installed on the building [scan thanks Alden Jewell]. [map] From around 1948-1953, this Porsche dealership was occupied by the Hills Motor Co. which sold Nash automobiles. From 1954 until at least 1980, the Peter Satori dealership sold a variety of foreign cars here. Rusnak appears to have moved in around 1993 when it sold Volvos. [map] This Bentley dealership housed A.R. Ahrens Ford in 1930s. The building's parapet and other details have been lost. [map] |

The Werk Bros. Garage was designed by Trent Thomas and built in 1926. This projecting sign is a later reproduction of the sign was that either installed originally or shortly after that. I believe this was actually just a garage and not a dealership but I'll include it anyway. For more, see this website. [map] |
