Youngville Station
Watkins, IA
The Youngville Station was built in 1931 on the old Lincoln Highway. It was a one-stop complex with a Skelley gas station, cabins and a cafe. The place closed in 1967 and fell into disrepair. The main building was restored around 1996 and now houses the Youngville Cafe. [map]

former Texaco station
Keokuk, IA
This former Texaco station was probably built in the 1920s or 1930s. The building was still in use a gas station until around 1977. It then housed an ice cream store in the 1980s and 1990s. Lisa Ann's Corner Cuts last occupied the building which I believe is vacant now. [map]

former station
Arlington, IA
This former station now houses Brush Creek Mobil. I don't know if this was originally a Mobil station. The bay building was obviously added later. The Mobilgas pegasus sign is probably a much later addition to the building. There are no longer any pumps. [map]

former station
Waterloo, IA
This former station was built around 1928. The building has been restored and now houses the Waterloo Convention & Visitors Bureau. [map]

former Mobil Oil station
Correctionville, IA
This former Mobil Oil station was built in 1934 from local river and glacial stone. It was also known as the "Rock Station" and "Heath Mobil Service". The bay building was added later. The station closed in the late 1970s. In 1999, the City of Correctionville purchased and restored the building. It was vacant when these photos were taken in 2009. Since 2012, the building has housed Gare's Bait & Tackle. [map]

former Cities Service station
Correctionville, IA
This former Cities Service station was built in 1930 for $10,000. The bay building at the right was added later and used for service and as a car wash. The station closed in the late 1970s. It remains vacant as of 2009. This vintage photo of a station in Oklahoma City shows what this station would have looked like originally. This vintage photo shows another example in Stratford, ON. The only other surviving example of this design that I know of is in Muskogee, OK. [map]

former Pure Oil station
Davenport, IA
This former Pure Oil station was a Zephyr station in the 1980s. It housed Ripple & Frenell Auto Sales when this photo was taken in 2010. By 2013, the building appeared to be vacant. By 2016, the building was housing Dewey's Deals. [map]

former Pure Oil station
Ottumwa, IA
This former Pure Oil station now houses Total Choice Shipping. This building has many original features including the roof tiles, a drainpipe, a lamp, and the step railing. The front window design is pretty much intact and the chimneys have their original porcelain caps. [map]
