unidentified building [gone] Rockford, IL |
park shelter Rock Island, IL |
This unidentified building in Rockford was probably from the 1960s. It stood alone in a cornfield and seemed a little fancy and big for a produce stand. There were no other commercial buildings around. Does anyone know anything about it? This photo is from 2009. By 2012, the walls of the building were gone but the roof was still standing. By 2022, the building was completely gone.
This park shelter in Fort Armstrong Spencer Square appears to be from the 1960s. I believe you can only access the park from the former Fort Armstrong Hotel building now. The hotel was converted into apartments in the 1980s. [map] |
commercial building Vandalia, IL |
This commercial building was probably built in the 1960s. It has housed the MRMC Insurance Agency since at least 2008. [map] |
