Manley's Pharmacy had an unusual square Rexall sign. By 2019, this sign was gone. [first photo thanks Mark Comstock]

Hemmingsen Rexall Drug was established here in 1855. They still have a soda fountain inside and a functioning neon sign. For more, see this website. [map]

Weisel's Drugs housed Re-Find Furnishings Resale Shop, a thrift store, when this photo was taken in 2006. The store and sign were gone by 2014. This sign had one of the rare secondary "Prescriptions" panels. For more, see this website.

Pitkin Rexall Drugs, aka the Pitkin Drug and Gift Shoppe, was founded in 1882. This full facade signage is from much later, probably 1940s or 1950s. [map]

Central Drug store opened in 1897 and is still in operation. [map]

Stillwater, MN
The St. Croix Rexall had been here since 1881 and closed in 2007. The St. Croix Emporium, which was there when these photos were taken in 2008, had left the signs in place. The store and signs were gone later that year.

Eagle Drug [gone]

The Eagle Drug store was vacant when these photos were taken in 2011. In 2012, the neon sign was removed. The rest of the signs were gone in 2018.

Skelton Drugs [gone]

Rensberger Drugs [gone]

This Skelton Drugs sign was still there when this photo was taken in 2008. By 2011, it was gone and the store had become Skelly's Hallmark. For more, see this website.

Rensberger Drugs last operated as Nelson Rexall Drug. I suspect there was another name prior to Rensberger and the plastic sign replaced an orange and navy porcelain sign. The plastic sign was gone by 2023. I don't know if the sign under the canopy is still there. [map]

This Rexall sign for Gray-Krummel Drugs now hangs inside the Carthage Deli where the drug store was previously. It would have been a double-sided sign originally but now only one panel is displayed.

Hayden's Pharmacy featured an oval neon Rexall sign on the front of the building when this photo was taken in 2010. Although the store was still open, by 2012, the oval sign was gone but the "Rx" sign was still there.

Elsberry Drugs

Henderson's Drug Store
Glasgow, MO
Elsberry Drugs is now known as the Elsberry Pharmacy and is part of the Medicine Shoppe chain. I believe the store and this sign were moved to this nearby strip mall at some point. [map]

Henderson's Drug Store was established in 1841 and is still in business. It is believed to be the oldest one-family drug store west of Mississippi River. [map]

Miller's Rexall Drug

Miller's Rexall Drug opened in 1946 and must have had a navy and orange porcelain enamel, neon sign originally. The plastic sign over the canopy was replaced with new panels by 2014. [map]

Birdsong Pharmacy opened in 1940. These photos are from 2010. By 2013, the store and signs were gone.

Boring's Rexall Drug
Warsaw, MO

Boring's Rexall Drug opened in 1957. The store is still open. [map]

Central Drug Store
Concordia, MO
The Central Drug Store has been here since at least 1951 and was associated with Rexall then. It is now known as Britt's Central Drug Store. [map]
