Rexall Drug
Hampton Beach, NH
This Rexall Drug features the trademark blue and orange storefront as well as a nice free-standing sign and Coppertone clock. The store is right on the beach and sells the full gamut of souvenirs, clothing, etc. (as well as a generous amount of sunblock). The signage indicates that this was originally the Donovan & Fallon Drug Store which opened here in 1927. At some point, it became part of the Rexall chain and changed the look of its storefront considerably. There was a fire in 2007 but it doesn't sound like it affected the status of the store. [map]

McCann's Pharmacy
Hudson Falls, NY
Sullivan's Rexall [gone]
Lake George, NY
Beaver's Pharmacy
Canisteo, NY

McCann's Pharmacy opened here in 1946. This sign has a unique shape. If there were any other Rexall signs produced like this, it may be the only one left. For more, see this website. [map]

The Sullivan's Rexall sign appeared to consist of applied decals over vitrolite. The glass was Rexall orange so I assume the business had been there for a long time. The decals were probably applied much later. This photo is from 2011. By 2014, the store was gone and the signs had either been covered up or removed.

Beaver's Pharmacy was established in 1936. It was known as Barker's Pharmacy before that. [map]

Miller Drug Store
Haverstraw, NY
Green's Pharmacy [gone]
Port Clinton, OH
The Miller Drug Store sign is double-sided and must have projected from the building originally. The store was vacant in 2013 but the sign was still there. [map]

Green's Pharmacy had been here since 1872. These plastic signs were probably from the 1950s or 1960s. All of the signs were gone by 2021. There was also a porcelain Rexall panel on the back of the building which is also gone.

Hood's Rexall Drug Store [gone]
Crescent, OK
Grey's Drugs
Hooker, OK
The Hood's Rexall Drug Store had opened by 1932. It became Don's Drugs around the 1960s. The can of the projecting Hood's sign was removed and the two panels were installed on the facade on the side of the building. The "DRUGS" letters were raised. Crescent Care Pharmacy moved into the building around 2022 and this sign is gone now.

Grey's Drugs now houses the Hooker Soda Fountain & Grill. [map]

Exchange Pharmacy
Oklahoma City, OK
Griffith Drug
McAlester, OK
Pawnee Drug [gone]
Pawnee, OK
The Exchange Pharmacy opened around 1910 and is still operating. [map]

This Griffith Drug sign is in a private collection. The sign was originally installed in Henryetta, OK. [map]

Pawnee Drug featured three types of Rexall signs: hanging, panels, and window decals. These photos are from 2011. By 2012, the building was vacant and these signs were gone.

Owl Drugs [gone?]
Sayre, OK
Owl Drugs operated from 1901 to 1997. The building remains vacant. The building was being renovated in 2023 and these signs appear to be gone now. [map]

Phipps Drugs
Portland, OR
Alberta Drugs
Portland, OR
Gordon's Pharmacy & Gifts
Canyonville, OR
The Phipps Drugs store is long gone but this sign remains. The building now houses a Fresh Pot coffee shop. [map]

Alberta Drugs opened here in 1915 and closed in 1981. The building now houses an Anna Bannanas Cafe. The sign was relit in 2014. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Gordon's Pharmacy & Gifts opened around 1926 as Blattner's Drug Store. The name was changed to Gordon's in 1941. For more, see this website. [map]

Union Drug Co.
Union, OR
The Union Drug Co. was established in 1903 and is still operating. The building on the left was constructed in 2012 as an addition to the drug store. [map]

Redicka Pharmacy [gone]
Dupont, PA
Everett Pharmacy [gone]
Everett, PA
The Redicka Pharmacy was still open for business when this photo was taken in 2010. By 2012, the store and sign were gone.

The Everett Pharmacy opened around 1968. I assume that this sign was from then. The store closed in 2019 and the sign was removed.
