The Books with a tortoise and a hare at the Urbana Free Library is entitled "Slow and Steady." It was sculpted on site by Todd Frahm in 2005 from Indiana limestone. [map]
This Book in Liberal was added to the front of the Liberal Memorial Library in 1955. There was previously a door in the middle of the book. In 1988, the door was covered up and the entrance was moved to the side. For more, see this website. [map] |

These Books in Fergus Falls were installed in front of the Fergus Falls Public Library in 2006. They are made of concrete. [map]
These Books in Kansas City were built in 2006 as the "Community Bookshelf". They conceal the parking garage for the Central Branch of the Kansas City Public Library. The 22 books are 25 feet tall. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map] |

The bronze Books sculpture in Artesia was created by Mark Ashley and installed in 2015. It is titled "The Foundation", referring to books as the foundation of knowledge. The sculpture features five stacks books with reading children on top of them. It is located in the middle of a traffic circle which is directly across from the library. [map]
These Books in Albuquerque function as a sign for the Library Bar & Grill which opened in 2004. The books have gag titles like "Tequila Mockingbird" and "Gone with the Gin." [map] These Books in Centerville were installed in front of the Centerville Library in 1997. The 22-foot-tall sculpture entitled "The Record" was created by Michael A. Frasca. [map] |
