This pair of Scissors in Woodland Hills was installed on the Wella Corporation building. Wella produces hair and beauty products. By 2018, the company and the Scissors were gone.
This pair of Scissors in Crescent Studio is installed on the roof of Kim's Hair Studio. They have been there since at least 2007. The blades may have been motorized to open and close. [map] |

This Rock, Paper, and Scissors sculpture is entitled "Conversation Peace." It was created by Kevin Box and donated to the City in 2016. It is installed in to courtyard of the Los Altos Community Center. There is an identical sculpture in Atlanta, GA and a similar sculpture in Gillette, WY.
This aluminum, 8-foot-tall Afro Pick entitled "All Power to All People" was created by Hank Willis Thomas in 2021. It was installed in the Citygarden Sculpture Park in 2024. The hair pick is topped with a Black Power salute. [map] |

Venus Hair opened in 1978. Since at least 2008, the statue of Venus di Milo and the curler and comb have decorated the top of the building. Around 2015, the scissors were added. [map]
These Dental Tools are 16 feet long. They were installed next to dentist Barry Both's office in 2006. The stainless-steel sculpture was commissioned as a tribute to the University of Alabama School of Dentistry which Booth attended. The sculpture is entitled "Piknmera," a reference to the dental pick and mirror. [map] |

This Dragonbrush sculpture was created in 2005 and installed at the Bourgeois Family Dental Center. [map]
This Toothbrush in Belleview was added to the Belleview Dental Center sign sometime after 2019. There is also a tooth-shaped mailbox here. [map] This 25-foot-tall Toothbrush in West Fargo serves as a sign pole for Crossroads Dental. It was installed in 2019. [map] This Toothbrush and Toothpaste in Okalhoma City is installed in front of Small World Pediatric Dentistry. They have been there since at least 2007. [map] |

Glasses Southbridge, MA |
The Glasses in Garden City were installed on top of the sign for Prestige Eyewear. They were about five feet long. In 2022, the store was a skate shop and the Glasses were gone.
The Glasses in Xenia were part of the sign for Lowell C. Eicher's optometry office. By 2021, there was a different eye doctor there and the glasses were gone. The Glasses in Southbridge are 19 feet tall. They were installed in the park of the town square in 2010. The sculpture is a tribute to the optical heritage of the area and the former American Optical complex across the street. [map] |

This steel sculpture of Buddy Holly's Glasses was installed in front of the Buddy Holly Center in 2002. It was created by Steve Teeters. Holly was born in Lubbock. [map]
These Glasses in Pensacola had been installed in front of the Optical Outlet since at least 2007. This photo is from 2020. The glasses were painted blue in 2021. By 2023, the store and the glasses were gone. |

This Spool of Thread in Los Angeles is installed in the Fashion District downtown. It appears to be about 10 feet tall. It was accompanied by a needle originally. The sculptures were created by Reverend Gadget. [map]
This Spool of Thread and Needle in Miami is installed on the roof of Julie's Sewing Corner. It has been there since at least 2008. [map] This Spool of Thread and Needle in Versailles has been installed at Excelsior Fabrics since at least 2012. |

This 22-foot-tall Needle and Thread is entitled "E Pluribus Unum" which means "Out of Many, One." The sculpture was created by Michael Terra and installed in 2023. It celebrates Paducah's quilting history. [map] |

The Needle & Button in New York City were built in 1995 as part of the Fashion Center Information Kiosk. The sculpture has a 31-foot-long needle and the world's largest button. [map]
The Needle & Button in Kansas City is located in the city's former garment district. The needle is 19 feet tall and was installed in 2002. [map] The Needle in a Haystack is located in front of the Needle in a Haystack Quilt Shop. |

This Aggie Ring is 12 feet tall and made of bronze. It is located at Texas A&M University. The sculpture was created by Deep in the Heart Art Foundry and installed in 2009. [map]

This Pink Polka Dot Bra is 14 feet tall. It was created in 1995 by Peter Larson. Entitled "Losing Support", it symbolized Congress' decision to abolish the National Endowment for the Arts. It was painted red, white, and blue and installed a the University of North Dakota over a sewer grate It was removed when deemed to be degrading to women. The Bra was moved to ARTSplace. In 2015, it was moved to Tim Shea's Nursery. It was painted pink for Breast Cancer Awareness and renamed "Gaining Support." The Bra was installed in front of the store and visible from the road but, after complaints, moved further inside the nursery. [map]
This Dress Shirt is installed in front of the Chamber of Commerce which previously housed the Alatex textile plant for about 70 years. The company mainly produced men's dress shirts. This Shirt is about 14 feet tall and was installed in 2012. The tie is changed with the seasons. [map] |
