former Lincolnwood Hyatt House [gone]
Lincolnwood, IL
The former Lincolnwood Hyatt House was designed by Hausner & Macsai and built in 1960. The hotel changed names many times over the years before becoming the "Purple Hotel", a reference to the building's purple glazed brick. The hotel closed in 2007 and remained vacant until it was demolished in 2013. These photos are from 2012.

The Golf Mill Office Tower was built in 1960. It is located at the Golf Mill Shopping Center. The name came from the intersection where it is located: at Golf Rd. and Milwaukee Ave. The tower is faced with panels meant to resemble the dimpled surface of a golf ball.
