This former Stuckey's gas station convenience store was built in 1971. The building had been vacant since at least 2007. Since 2017, the building has housed the Route 66 Motorheads Bar & Grill.

This 30-foot-wide, Stuckey's billboard sign is made from painted sheet metal panels. The sign was installed on a country road near New Berlin, IL in the 1960s. In the late 1980s, it was moved to a farm in New Berlin. It was installed at Motorheads in 2019. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Archway RV Park

The Travelodge in Vandalia featured a 60-foot-tall replica of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis which is 70 miles away. It was designed and built in 1965 by Harry Mabry who owned the Travelodge at the time. The sign near the top of the arch was removed around 2018. The motel is now an America's Best Value Inn but the arch remains. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

The Archway RV Park has another Gateway Arch inspired sign. The business was previously known as the Quality Times RV Park. I don't know when the sign was installed. [map]

There is another Gateway Arch sign in Peoria, IL.
