motor bank Moline, IL |
|
This motor bank is officially known as Chase Bank's "Moline Main Driveup" appears to be from the 1960s or 1970s. The main bank branch, shown in the distance in the first photo above, was built in 1921 as the Moline State Trust & Savings Bank and later the First National Bank. I don't know when Chase started operating out of these two properties. [map] |

former Town and Country Bank Mount Zion, IL |
|
This former Town and Country Bank may have been built in 1983. It appears to be the same design as the bank in Pawnee shown below. The building housed an Associated Bank until it was rebranded in 1999. It may have housed a Citibank before that. The building is currently vacant. [map] |

This former Gilldorn Savings Bank was built in 1984. The building was in use by the Pawnee United Methodist Church in 2009. The bottom photo shows the tunnel where the drive-thru or ATM was. In 2016, the building was donated to the Village of Pawnee. After that, the building was cleaned up, some siding applied, and the dirt mounds removed. The building now houses the Pawnee Police Department. [map] |
