This former Illinois State Bank was designed by John Benya and built in 1979. It later housed a Bank of America until 2014. At that point, it began housing a Members First Community Credit Union. In 2024, the credit union demolished the building. It will be replaced with a new building on the site. |

This former Gem City Savings & Loan was probably built as part of the Quincy Mall which opened in 1978. It also houses a First Mid Bank & Trust now. I don't know if John Benya had anything to do with the design of this bank or if it was just inspired by the downtown branch shown above. [map] |
