| The Wilshire stations described below had unique canopies pierced by spear-like supports. They were built in the late 1950s. In 1960, these stations were rebranded as Gulf stations when Gulf bought out Wilshire. While these stations were primarily built in California, there is at least one station in Tacoma, WA. |

The G&H Gas station had the same style of canopy supports as those shown in the rows above. However, the canopy itself was different. I suspect this was built as a Wilshire station and the canopy was modified at some point. In 2018, the canopy was gone.
The Canepa's Car Wash canopy is pierced by four supports. I suspect this was either a Wilshire station originally or built by the same company. [map] |

These two gas stations apparently sold the same brand originally. I don't know what company produced these canopies with boomerang shaped supports.
